**Key Responsibilities**
+ Lead **end-to-end payroll system implementation** including discovery, requirements gathering, design, build, testing, and go-live.
+ Configure **company codes, pay groups, earning/deduction codes, work rules, and pay policies** within payroll platforms.
+ Design and build **payroll rules, calculation formulas, and compliance logic** from the ground up.
+ Define and configure **tax authorities, garnishments, GL mapping, costing, and accrual rules** based on client requirements.
+ Translate **client payroll policies** into accurate, compliant system configurations.
+ Collaborate with clients to design **rule hierarchies, overtime logic, and benefit taxation frameworks** .
+ Prepare **configuration design documents** , participate in **data migration and parallel testing** , and validate payroll results
+ Partner with cross-functional teams on **integrations with HR, timekeeping, and finance systems** .
**Required Skills & Experience**
+ **5-10 years** of hands-on experience in **payroll system implementation and configuration** for enterprise clients.
+ Proven ability to **set up payroll systems from scratch** - not limited to operational configuration or routine updates.
+ Strong knowledge of:
+ Payroll calculations, deductions, and wage types
+ Earnings & deduction setup
+ Pay groups and work rules
+ Overtime and shift differentials
+ Tax codes and jurisdiction setup
